Austin / San Marcos Area Shop to do Aluminum Welding on my frame

Hey - Does anyone know someone in the Austin/San Marcos area that can weld a piece of aluminum to my frame? The bracket for the right rearset got snapped off in a "racing incident" at NOLA this weekend.

It would be extremely helpful if there is someone who can do it before this coming weekend to give me a chance to ride COTA (otherwise I have to sell my spots).

I've only had one aluminum welding project done, and it was by a dude at Hoffman Supply in San Marcos. Amazing welds; beautiful and strong. Wasn't a structural piece, just several short welds on thin aluminum that needed to be air tight. Dunno if that guy is still there, but maybe they have someone that can do good work.

There are some guys here in our machine/sheet metal shop that repair aircraft that can do it. Let me ask around and see if anyone can knock it out for you. The are gone home for the day but Ill check first thing in am. BTW, at SM airport

Michael - Thanks for the offer to check. Let me know if you find out anything. I have been holding off on selling my COTA places in the hopes my bike can get fixed. Went to Hofmann Supply this morning - they looked and told me to bring it back tomorrow morning; said they'd try, but didn't sound horribly optimistic.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I used Hofmann Supply. They were hesitant to try at first, but so far it looks like they did a good job (and only charged $28).
