Thread: Apology to Jeff Reeves

  1. #11
Jeff - no worries. I was still quite new to the racing scene (I suppose I still am), and the few people I talked to afterwards basically said you shouldn't expect much courtesy. Given that we're trusting our lives to one another on the track, I had hoped that courtesy would be a pretty common quality. If it wasn't, then I wasn't interested in racing. Thankfully, I stuck around a bit longer and was able to see that our "meeting" was the exception rather than the rule.

But if you want to say hi, I'm #538 and I'll (hopefully) be at Cresson next month. In the middle of buying a house right now though, so that's not set in stone.

We'll need to burn Jeff at the stake now. I've got a torch!

Jeff's one of the nicest guys you will ever meet in the paddock, raced AMA for Ferraci Ducati back in the day. But you would never know it by how humble he is, a class act. I got run off the track last year by someone else, and was mad as hell about it. I tracked them down afterwards on Facebook, and very nicely asked them about the incident. And they had no idea they had done it or that it had happened, and they were very apologetic and took it very serious. Stuff like that happens, now I just calmly go over and talk it out.

I've run Allen off the track a few times when he tried to come in on my inside. As one of good friends, I will do it again!
