Lets make sure the battery powered versions are acceptable. One of my bikes has a total loss system and nothing to wire into.

Walter said they're acceptable. That's pretty much it.

17 pages, 95% on how to zip tie a bicycle light to your tail section. I'm going to set up at the first race with a bucket of $2 bicycle lights and offer full installation for $100 in 2 minutes and finance my entire race season. FTW!

And... all those are simply the ones that folks had considered in previous posts.

What he's essentially saying is... pretty much anything will be approved this year. Folks are really trying to make this harder than it is. ;)

The battery operated ones seemed to work just fine at COTA for MotoAmerica last year. This is the USB rechargeable, waterproof one. Went on fine, is safety wired and 3M mounted, and clearly visible at 60' in mist/rain. Took about 15 minutes. Of course i'll have two spares at all times.

This is what I came up with for our pre gen ULE bike..
The units are solid mounted into the frame tubes, have a set screw underneath holding the push in light tubes and will be wire tied.. and wired into the battery and switch on the dash. Two bulbs... in case one fails = no black flag!
