Why get involved if right from the get go you have absolutely ZERO chance of contending?

Well, I guess I should quit all together, along with the rest of the 90% of the people who race anything who will never have a chance of putting it on the box in any class.

I guess we race for different reasons, I have never suited up and taken track just for fun. Rather any of us have a future in this or not, it's still competition, doing it "for fun" or half heartedly is what gets people hurt. We are way to close to the edge to be there just for fun. My opinion ofcourse, but I AM entitled to it...

There is a difference been "for fun" and "half heartedly". In fact, other then maybe 10 people who race regularly at the club level, everyone is out here to have fun. They compete, they try hard, they are not screwing around or doing anything half heartedly. They are out here having fun. I'm willing to bet even the few super fast guys that are racing at the club level and professionally are doing it for fun.
