P1 Racing, SCRC, SV650 Novice Records

Anyone who got to watch the SV Novice classes on Sunday saw some really good racing. Ryan Max Johnson and Eric Williams not only finished 1,2 in all three events but they managed to pick off most of the expert grid in the process. I don't know how accurate this list is http://a.imageshack.us/img101/9779/c...secr082910.jpg
but it looks like Ryan Max and Eric may have set some new track records in all three classes they competed in by as much as 4 1/2 seconds. Those two are strong competitors and they benefit by racing each other.

Brandon at P1 Racing and John at SCRC worked with Eric to solve the tire tearing issues that seemed to plague the club this weekend and the results speak for themselves. Those guys are the absolute best and we were fortunate to find them.

I promise not to make it a habit of bragging on my kid (lord knows there's enough of that) but I thought both Eric and Ryan Max deserve a thumbs up for their performance at ECR and also at Barber for the way they represented the club.

By the way Ryan, you have an outgoing, beautiful wife with a great sense of humor. You're a lucky man.

    Way to go guys!

yes it looks like a few records were broken Sunday... I left the records data at home today so I'll have to look into it when I get home.

That was insane. The novice SV group this year as a whole is faster than years past, partially demonstrated by this weekend's performances with the top 5 or so all being near the record times set by Blair Krogh on his superbike (built motor, I believe). Ryan and Eric going under 2:00 is mind boggling for novices. Congrats, doods. And an additional congrats to Eric for winning his first SV race. The list of guys who've beat Ryan on an SV when he's running hard is short indeed!

Eric and Ryan were flying out there all weekend. Some of the best racing I`ve seen. You and your son are a great addition to the CMRA. See you at TWS.

Congrats to both for the great rides on a weekend I felt the track was a little slow.

BTW Wild thing. LOL! It was great meeting you and your son.

I just spit beer all over the Hooters waitress laughing at the first comment. Quote of the month.

And +1 on the racing. Eric and Ryan continue to impress, both on track and around the paddock.

I was looking back in race 19 to see where my brother was and when I saw him he had 2 yellow plates tail grabbing his backside. Not use to seeing that. Good job guys! Looking forward to running with y’all next year or sooner at that pace!
