Thread: Austin F1 Track Construction Halted

Re: Austin F1 Track Construction Halted

The complexity of all this is plain stupid. The electrical part of this had FINALLY received permits several weeks ago. Just waiting ready to go then they just stop. The workers were told possibly in December they MIGHT go back to work. NOLA motorsports is close to where I fly out to work and this place is awesome, have a little track perfect for minis and once the big track cures will be incredible. Had some small motards running last weekend on the cart track and carts. Pretty cool setup with all the possible variations to the track. Still would rather go see MOTOGP in austin tho

Looks like the ball is back in Ecclestone's court. Though we'll see if Epstein's pressure tactic will work on a guy like him...

If I were a betting man I'd say that Ecclestone will continue to give Epstein a hard lesson in negotiating leverage.

Deadline is this coming Wednesday the 30th. for an agreement to continue the build and comfirm the deal.

Just build the D$%^&*M thing anyhow. There are many other race organizations who would invite the Austin market as one of their venues to compete in and show case their series.

    There's still Moto GP.

No. He doesn't. He has nothing to do with motogp for years now.

    Not true.

Carmelo Ezpeleta is the CEO of Dorna and Bernie Ecclestone is the CEO of Formula One.
