Was that Ur vid Jeremiah .. Yeah I went in to early and early and hit the curb.. U did a great job that day I replay that vid all the time trying to figure out what happened when I went off the road.. I remember throwing the bike away from me and I started to tumble when I hit the grass.. Woke up and they were cutting leathers off
Those big blocks are/were outside of T3.

Yeah that was my video. This whole time Ive been wondering "how do you lose the front in that corner??" Now I know. I've actually clipped that curbing myself and was literally hanging off the bike all the way to the next turn before I could climb back on. I thought I was toast. I've seen people run off there and there's a deep ditch that would eat you. And the bike.
Nemo, don't misread what I said about curbing being there for 15 years as a justification. The curbing on the inside apex of turn 7 is in my mind acceptable. It's there and is the correct configuration and people know it. The curbing on the inside apex of turn 6 is NEW and in my mind is unacceptable in its current configuration. That's why we told everyone about it at rider's meeting all three days. The block curbing on the outside exit of turn 10A has been there for 15 years. These too I believe are unacceptable in their current configuration. Can these be fixed/changed YES, will they be fixed/changed before our next race I don't know. I think having curbing in all these locations is fine as long as they are the right configuration. That being said I also believe that its each riders responsibility to know the track. Look at it during a track day or practice or sighting lap. That's what those on track activities are for. Do a track walk when available. You would be surprised by what you can learn and see when your not going at speed. If there are conditions that we as officials think you need to know we will tell you about it in riders meeting. Tracks are always changing even between race weekends. And if you see something that we didn't bring it to our attention so we can make appropriate decisions about it. The one thing I urge people to think about is when things happen like this that they realize that things don't happen overnight. Repairs take time and money. All I can say is to voice your concerns to the BoD and/or Director of Competition, and let them handle the approach to the tracks.
As far as clipping curbing that you know is there and have been aware of is not the tracks fault.
These are my opinions only.

I agree Ryan nobody looks at all the dangers of racing and things that can happn until they do and everything goes south..
My peg caught in a slot on the inside curbing of turn 4 for .001 seconds. My massive skillz obviously made it a non-issue, but I did ponder the consequences of someone less skilled separating from the bike under such cicumstances.
