Thread: I like technology what about you

  1. #11
Hey remember this thread a year ago ....

Even though I did not race much this past season and don't plan on it as well this season , I still do not see how this went untouched. I just got an email for pre-registration and I see things are still using the same format.

Granted I don't have the time and desire like I did the past 3 years when I offered to help. I am still confused on why the org would turn down an offer when someone was offering to help improve the organization for little to no cost output from the org.

Bring out the pitch forks and "I don't know whats going on behind the scenes post" /End rant

I remember. I put your name out there. I introduced you to folks. I thought this might happen, but it didn't. I have no answers for you, Greg. But it's good to see you're still alive and kicking.

but you had an offer for 'free' help from someone who is capable, why not accept the offer?

    I did:

    But:
no time to coordinate, no time to get someone else up to speed on everything I already have in place, no time to look at any other options

barely enough time to write replies here

It's complicated. Expectations vs what's allowed due to current processes and ins requirements make things difficult.

Pile that on top of Ted along with availability and it's even more difficult.

Last fall I made www.raceentry.net it is a work around that I plan to update after initial entries are done. I don't want to be part of the pre entry race...or shouldn't be rather.

with all due respect to time, and I am not knocking your efforts, but what you just stated is the perfect reason why he should have been brought in, even if it was to start from scratch, he had 2 years to do it. Because we still arent there lol and even if he started from scratch and built something that worked, while it might mean all your hard work was for nothing, the club as a whole would benefit from it

of course i say this blindly, but blindly it seems right

Hey Linz, ya thanks for trying man. I'm still here and kicking, blew up the 560 at the last mrsh day again too lazy to tear it apart and figure out what was it this time. So you got lucky this year if you planned on racing msrh. You still a regular at the 24hr emergency clinics ?

I can relate to lack of time. I've not had time or opportunity to do something I said I could do last season, either. But I'm still on it, well, as much as I can be.

Blowing up sucks; I will count my lucky stars. And you know I never go to those 24 hour places. My doctor is always on speed dial and on standby...and she stood by a lot last year. Hope to see ya soon, my friend.

    Now, back to regular programming...
