Thread: Grid Calls / Announcer

  1. #81
    i agree with Brad...unfortunately true.

further more, if you are pitted with a loud bunch and you have to constantly tell them to shut it, you may be in the wrong crowd.
i ve been in that type of company, while fun after the races , during the races it was the only time i missed 3rd call.
    i avoid that situation now.....

If you make each rider tote a smart phone, buy a scanner, etc... people get fed up.
I agree. I'm too cheap to even buy an app for my phone...haha. I go by the FM broadcast because I have a radio...in my truck. And pit by people with big toy haulers because I know they can afford a scanner...lmao.

I agree, with this for the most part. It's simple to say everyone buy a 5$ item, or 20$ item or 50$ item and the problem will be fixed. Just need to know what is really necessary and what is not. I like the option to be able to use my phone for calls, provided it works. Ideally better PA's would be best but until the tracks decide to improve them we are stuck with our own ideas.

FYI, base version of RM is now free. Still need to pay for upgrade to see laptimes for a rider and result history. They've gone to a subscription model where some race events will require a paid subscription to watch.

OMG! Now I have to generate a friend or a loved one??? Can you purchase or rent those? LOL. Rent-to-own? Package deal with a generator and a transponder?
