Walter and B.O.D.,
Great race schedule!! Thanks for being so professional. Looking forward to our best year ever.
We will be running MSRH CCW in 2015. We have reevaluated the course and believe that switching to the CCW direction will reduce risk to our riders.

I really dont think running it CCW on the first race of the season when most people have never rode it that way is going to be safer. I'd say it'd be the complete opposite of safe. Putting everyone on the track with most people having not rode it all or only in Friday practice and doing it at race pace in, most likely, less than optimal weather, seems like an absolutely terrible idea.

Are you literally trying to kill someone?

Now I understand that new tracks come up, but also, people are typically afforded the opportunity to go run them before they are put on a race schedule - especially in February. But I honestly think this is worse because people are accustomed to MSRH and think they know it, and then realize it's a completely different track backwards. Also, with new tracks, you don't typically have to worry about how bumps and sealer patches are going to affect you.
Not to mention, I'm interested in the decision making process behind this. After looking at it on Google Maps, there's almost no run off - and that's coming from an off-camber turn into a wall. I don't see how it's safer...

I've run it both directions and I agree with Cody, I think CW the first race and CCW the second race would be a safer way to do it. Give everyone time to come out on a track day and learn it.
I think CCW is a terrible idea.
