    LWE ESSE motor rules

So in Hallett this past weekend, I saw some really fast 250's on the track and I wanted to make sure I understand the rules, on exactly what can be done to the motors in the E Super Stock Endurance class? It says head gaskets may be replaced with any brand and do not need to be stock spec, as well as machining of gasket surfaces, etc. etc. It mentions the compression ratio must remain stock except where mentioned above. So does this mean, the compression ratio must remain stock unless you have decked the head or used a smaller head gasket?

It also says you cannot over bore 1mm unless sold as a maintenance kit by the manufacturer? No porting and polishing of the head, correct?

Whats considered a fast 250 time for hallet? our team had never been so we used a friends dads street 250 to learn the line before sunday. I got down to 1:34s but it was my first time on a 250 so im not sure of a gauge.. great question though as we will most likely mini endurance next year as we all loved every second of it.

1:34 is pretty damn fast on a street 250 at Hallett. My best was a 37 on our 250 which has full suspension in my stint during the 6 hour endurance. I think the best 250 time was a 1:30 or 1:31 during the sprints.

Everybody was fast compared to us and we couldnt figure it out cause we kept getting slower and then the motor blew. So Yorke's question is important to us as well as we rebuild

Rules Yorke? Who needs rules? Build a fast 250, have fun. You could put a 450 in there and not go any faster

Lol, I'm just making sure I understand how a spec motor series works. I think you and I need better braking systems not more power.
