I had a full day of practice on a 250, and 2 hours of it on endurance, then another full day on my big bike before i ran those times. Hallet is also pretty easy to learn IMO compared to Cresson/MSRH/ECR. Also, I ran those times when it was 90+ degrees and the sun was out. A little bit different than when the track was wet and seeping at the first round after a tornado last year.

So you're saying if you're an expert level rider you don't have an excuse for finishing outside the novice top ten after starting in the expert wave?

Exactly my point! And Cody, your posting a video from 2 years ago. I'm sorry, you can't show up twice a year, start from the back and blow up the field. Then say your not comfortable running with better riders. Why didn't you race Msrh, a track your comfortable with? See what racing against other experts is like? You have 2 tracks (Msrh and Tws) you know very well at the start of the season, your argument doesn't hold up. Just admit, you really really wanted to win novice championships and your bitter about it.

Funny this is going on as long as it has, and we're not even in the off-season. The basic model in place works: strong guidelines for promotion with flexibility to address specific scenarios. I don't want to be completely at the mercy of the letter of a law (nor the converse); 'twould be idiotic.

I have one from TWS last year of pretty much doing the exact same thing, but it's not on YT.

Sure you can, 787 did it and he's still novice. Blow up the field? You realize that I've never podiumed when I started from the back - right?

Actually, I'm so comfortable riding around with other riders I'll even lay on the ground on a hot track with them.

Because I decided this year, instead of putting myself into situations I didn't feel comfortable with, I decided to do more track days at tracks I don't know to get myself at a level where I'd feel comfortable riding around in the expert group and try to go to a track or two that's far away (like Barber). Unfortunately, I don't have the disposable income to do both...which is exactly why I only do one or two rounds a year.

You're right. I'm bitter. I really wanted to run circles around all these little ***** ***, slow *** novices this year running 39s at houston at the first round and lock up the championship.

Actually - I'm not stupid. If that was the case, I wouldn't come in here letting people know about my personal reasons for not wanting to be moved up. I probably would've just said "Well - glad my name wasn't thrown out there" and kept moving. But that's not the case. I came in here because all too often people don't understand things that they don't personally experience.

If I was to be bitter about something, it would be of our education system who failed to teach you the difference between your and you're.

Please let me know if you have any other wrong assumptions of me that I can clear up for you.

Should it really make a difference? Whether you asked for promotion or it was done automatically shouldn't matter, in the end you have expert status and should have the skill set required for it.
