    FS 2008 Yamaha R1 Race Bike

    2008 R1 Yamaha Race bike in very good condition. This has been my primary bike for '14 and '15 but was raced very sparingly. Current bodywork is good and unmolested with fresh paint last July. Will be installing a new motor and will be ready to roll. Here are the particulars;

    • Full Bazazz with TC/QS and autotune, new last February
    • Map/TC gain switch
    • Spare Wheels
    • Graves CF exhaust
    • Fresh AK 20's and Ohlins Rear Shock with 3 Race weekends on them
    • Brand new body work in box
    • Spare motor (may need rings)
    • Brembo 19MM Master Cylinder
    • Vortex Rearsets
    • Spares include sprockets, bars, rear set odds and ends, levers, etc.
    • Clear Texas Title in my name
    • Set up for a svelt 230lb rider
    • Fully drilled and wired.

    Asking $6K not interested in parting at this time.

    Slight Edit;

    I am with the original engine and no spares, ready to race for $3800. The engine smokes just a little bit at the top end after reassembly. Motor is strong otherwise. Rather not part this beast...it's a solid, well sorted and fast bike...

    When you say smokes at the top end, are you saying when you're at the top end of the RPM band? Running rich or burning oil? I know someone interested in an R1 for the track, but a compression test readout would be nice, if you had it.
