    Stock bike prep

I have a 2014 triumph Daytona that needs to be prepped to CMRA specs. Triumph has welded the catalyst into the exhaust making the exhaust to large for purpose built belly pans. I may have to start racing (prov Nov) with the stock exhaust can anyone recommend a universal belly pan that will pass tech?
Eventually the exhaust, fairings, and electronics will be upgraded to race spec, but I'll not be able acheive this by the first race in Feb. Any advice will be appreciated.

James you need to find a belly pan that will cover and that you can cut and drill.thats the problem I had with my R1 there was no parts available for it I took the hot bodies belly pan to a gsxr 600 and made it work and didn't look bad until I was able to get fairings.just an idea to point you in a direction.

Odds are you'll burn through pan if it's anywhere close to the cat. Cats get HOT.

Their is a way around that heat tape and when you make the preparations to mount and cut make sure it's. It up against it then put heat tape inside of pan. I have experience with this

Thanks for the input, I think I found a universal pan that will cover the motor pan. Hopefully it won't look too Frankenstein, good advice on the Heat coming off the Cat that is the reason I can't go with the Shark skinz.

Probably not a good idea to race with the cat. I've read it can cause premature failure, though I have nothing solid to back it up. The internet probably knows.
