Steven, we are polling our staff to see if we have enough people to move it to another venue. Hopefully we'll know something by Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Looking at the tracks that are free that weekend (NOLA!, whoot!) I've been checking and hotel rooms near the track are available. However, rooms in town are going quickly because its Octoberfest. So if you plan on watching 6 hour endurance racing your probably fine but if you're up for drinking beer and eating oysters, you probably should start looking for a room. As of yesterday, hotels in the French Quarter are 75% booked according to Travelocity. You can reserve and cancel without a fee up to October 2nd.

Yes, I want to go to Nola. If we do and you can find me, beers on me! Please lord (or whatever ethereal being you may or may not believe) not Eagles Canyon!

As Nancy posted we are very close to making a decision on a replacement venue. An announcement will be coming very soon.

I know this would never fly, but think how Legendary the CMRA would become if we pulled off a round of true Irish Road racing...

David is not medically fit for the next round. Clearly he is suffering the delayed effects of a closed head injury. I checked Google. Its a real diagnosis.

But then I Googled "accelerated methods for closed head injury recovery", and ordered the videos off of Amazon. And then I watched them and got all better. And then for giggles, I even found a valid CPT code, and filed the claim with my insurance cheated some poor head shrinker out of his reimbursement money.

Unless Google has a license to practice medicine in Texas, it's the bench for you wise guy!

Walter, any time you want to interrupt this silliness with a race place, you let us know.

    Now? How about now?
