    Team Hammer Talent Search

I wanted to take a moment and talk about the Team Hammer Talent Searh. JU has put all the details on his website at http://www.teamhammer.com/talent-search/details/

I specifically mention this program as it is by far the most affordable platform for an up and coming expert that wants national recognition.

I talked to John Ulrich about this for quite awhile and he has made what I believe are the appropriate changes to this program to make it nothing less than the best value for someone that has aspirations of national caliber riding. Obviously, you must be an expert, but the price is very affordable now (995.00), and you will not be able to get the national level expsure from both a PR standpoint and a rider experience standpoint that this program offers.

I am not associated with this program in any way shape or form, but have encouraged JU to keep it going. There are several riders in the CMRA that would do very well in this program and I encourage you to use the contact information on the link to find out more. If you do need help, I will do what I can.

    Good Luck,

    Re: Team Hammer Talent Search

Just to update you all on a couple of items.

From what John told me, there are two tenative "setup" preseason sessions. One possibly at Barber and another TBD.

Also, If you have a question about this program, PLEASE BE SPECIFIC when you are emailing to the Team Hammer address. JU is probably the guy answering your question. To help you all understand this program better, I would like to highlight some items.

    1) This "talent search" provides a closed competition between you and whomever else signs up. This means you have an honest opportunity to further your racing career without a lot of outside crap that you would be subjected to during an "open" talent search. As you may have read, being fast and a crasher will NOT WIN YOU THIS competition. Being fast and consistent will get you to the GNF/Suzuki cup race if everything works out for you.

    2) There are only two requirements for this program. The first is a Suzuki motorcycle. The second is the Alpine stars and boots. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO DO THIS PROGRAM, BUT DO NOT WANT ALPINESTARS AND BOOTS, send an email saying so to the email link on the information page.

    3) JU is putting together the "special events list". If you want to know what they are and how many, send an email specifically asking this. JU will probably be the one answering your email and he gets hundreds of mails everyday, SO have specific questions.

If I had the time, I myself would do this. It is a great program and allows you to compete in a fair closed program. It eliminates you having to pay 20($K)-100($K) that many factory riders have had to pay to get their first ride on a satelite team so that they can then be judged. That's right, many of the "stars" of today were paying 40($K)- 75($K) to get their first factory supersport ride so they could be judged for an actual factory ride. I hope those interested will aggressively pursue this as this may be the only time in your career you will get this much attention from a factory team.

    Best of Luck,
