    Airbox Mods on R3

I noticed in the regs that the airbox must remain stock and I was curious if that also refers to the velocity stacks inside of the airbox. I do see that some racing companies offer modified airboxes and that appears to work in the supersport class but not super stock. My curiosity is if the velocity stacks within the airbox can be modified to racing stacks.

The velocity stacks need to remain OEM in order to be superstock legal. You could change the velocity sacks for SBK and 400 classes and then put stock ones back in for 300 SS. I wouldn't recommend messing with all that for your Novice year, though. You're fast enough!

I need to clarify something RMJ stated " SBK and 400 classes" ...ONLY IN 400 SBK classes....any SBK mods on any bike makes it SBK in all classes.
