Cool ATTENTION IN THE PADDOCK! THE 2025 SEASON AND EVENT SCHEDULES HAVE BEEN UPDATED

    March 13, 2025

    To All CMRA License Holders:

After reviewing the survey results from earlier this month the CMRA Board of Directors has voted to add an additional 5 hour endurance race to Round 3 at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson TX scheduled for May 17 - 18. Additionally Endurance race scheduled for Round 4 at NOLA Motorsport Park scheduled for June 6 - 8 has been extended to a 6 hour. As a result of these changes the Solo Series has been reduced from 5 rounds to 4 for all classes. The season schedule and event schedule for Round 3 has been updated and is available for download on the SCHEDULE PAGE of the CMRA website. Event schedules for the remaining rounds will be finalized and posted soon.

    I like racing.

Also, when is the last time endurance went CCW at Cresson? If you ask my teammate, this will be 75 years

So for those of us that don't endurance or have a bike class eligible sprint race on saturday we get two 10 min practice sessions on Sunday morning to test, tune and tweek? Not to mention some of us like solo 30 but I understand the cost differential. It just kinda sucks for some of us, I kinda like not even worth giving up the weekend for a couple three races on Sunday late afternoon. You're killing me smalls

Michael, are you one of the 10 people that practices on Fridays? If we could get more folks for Fridays consistently, we wouldn’t be trying this. I feel your pain. However, try it out first and see how you like your weekend.

Way more than 10 people on fridays. For me I set my travel plans and take vacay days based on "the final" published schedule. I don't work a nine to five normal job so yeah when I see the "final" schedule and then loose practice time along with a race I really like doing it kinda pisses me off. My job schedule is non stop with with maybe 3 to 4 full days off between rounds so I dont get ride otherwise. So now I get to burn a vacay day to go sit at the track and do nothing.

I belive MSR will be running a member day Friday. We have a large base of customers that have memberships and will probably ride that Friday. If possible you can explore that possibility for practice?

And although Josh may have been partly joking, Friday practice has been a loss for several years at MSR, with sprints being a gain about 1/2 the time. That's the force behind cutting Friday practice at MSR and Hallett, attendence was below low.

I get the friday practice loosing money and not worth the cost. That was never my angst as the MSR round was always a two day event. When the endurance was added to this event the three paid practice rounds on Sat morn were lost as well as the solo 30. I also get the solos are not that popular and Im all for keeping endurance alive and active. I am in very unique job were I get very little time off so my only practice and setup time is race weekends. That's my burden to deal with the best I can understood and not suggesting otherwise.
