You shouldn't keep any race fuel in plastic jugs....espcially for long periods of time.

VP actually suggests to drain after every race on all fuels, but especially the oxygenated fuels....something to consider. I found this out some time this season. I had asked this question last year and got the response "no big deal" I guess it depends upon who you listen too. Overall VP is good about proper info though.
I would drain after every race as suggested by VP.

Its good to know that we should drain the tanks after each race if we use oxgenated fuel. Pete Martin had said something about plastic cans put is was the flood weekend of Ridesmart so I really did not absorb what he said. Does the U4 do the same thing? Once again TY, I am really sorry.

I've had both VP and Nutec turn to goo in the throttle bodies & on the backside of the intakes. In both cases, we were pumping it straight out of new drums that were unsealed that weekend at the track. We just don't run the oxygenated stuff anymore.

I read where the addition of too much Propylene Oxide causes fuel to gum up. Perhaps the Oxygenated fuels suffer from the same problems.
Here is some great info on Fuel and Fuel Additives:

This article covers Oxygenators

There are pages of this stuff to add to your knowledge base of how fuel makes BTU heat.
Happy reading............
