Even at ground level it was difficult to determine if there was oil or other debris there. Steve and Walter spent lots of time evaluating it and monitoring the turn...

Yep, Kelly we did hear, and see you coming at us - wisely race control let us call off the search for missing transponders. The first bike that came flying through the air while we were hunting out there put my co-cornerworkers into staying on the inside for the rest of the day. I guess dodging flying motorcycles is a little nerve-wracking.

My teamate Sir Ergle warned me as I was throwing a leg on the bike. I was going slow getting a feel for the track and our tire condition.I am not sure the rider I just passed told me later I was going in hot. All I remember is grabbing the brake lever and the bars going to the lock.Busted my bum and hip pretty good next time I will pay more attention to my teamates warning. Chalk another one up for the killer wagon wheel.

</div></div>No doubt! This novice has slid the wheels through a corner (not on purpose) a couple of times and all I will say is I hope I eventually learn to enjoy it as much as Brett does.

Hey I gave someone a ride on a pit bike that was taking pictures of the scrape marks in the wagon wheel right after the endurance race. We were both checking it out closely. It was quite a sight, all of those scrape marks radiating out from that little crack, and the mud trenches that began where the scrapes intersected the curbing. Whoever that was if you can I would like to see those pictures.
