    State mandate? There never was a State mandate and you clearly didn't need a certification to conduct track day instruction, much less to teach a race class. You didn't have to be a lawyer to read the law and ask questions

    As it is, by simply taking the path of least resistance, you created a sphere of State oversight that never would have existed otherwise.

    To make an observation, if a for-profit entity wishes to offer certificates that 1) qualifies one for a MC license, or 2) qualifies as a driver's safety course, it is their prerogative to obtain State certification and offer those courses. However, if that org then actively attempts to use non-existent State law in an attempt to make themselves or their race schools more competitive, well that's HS.

    Personally, I'd like to see a lot more transparency and accountability from the Board. What I've seen above is mainly defensive, which is odd, assuming nothing untoward transpired.

    Brandt did all of us a favor, and while he/we couldn't undo all of the damage some on here assisted in causing, it's a step in the right direction.
