Absolutely!!
Awesome!
Ok guys. I've been playing around with a few different ideas to get a three digit number on the headlight. It's possible to get three numbers on the headlight, but they tend to end up REALLY small (like 3-4 inches tall). Two digit numbers should fit no problem.
I talked with Walter a little about it and we decided that removing the headlight will be allowed so that we can fit better numbers on the front. The headlight unbolts in about 30 seconds. Then you can zip tie a regular dirt bike (or similar) number plate to the front of the bike. As far as I know, side plates still won't be mandatory. If everyone has a legible front number plate and a transponder I think the CMRA crew will be happy.
Here is my bike with my CRF450R front number plate. I can have the number plate off and my headlight back on in about one minute.
I'm still planning on just unbolting my license plate bracket and taping up my tail light. Other than that, my bike is in race trim as you see in the pictures above. I'll probably remove the kickstand also for racing. Oh, and I have some PSR foot pegs on the way.

Hey dudes. So I did this to my bike. I'm about 99% sure the rulebook didn't have the clause 'no ignition cuts' under Supersport rules when I did this. Now I see that it's against the rules for Supersport and I don't plan on having it plugged in when I'm at CMRA events. Just wanted to share it with everyone because it's easy to do, and full throttle upshifts are fun. Especially when you don't have to shell out bunches of money to be able to do them. :D
Just to clarify completely: I did ask Lord Walter if I could do this (via text). I didn't get a reply (I think he must've just forgotten to reply), so I went ahead and did it. Now I see ignition cuts aren't legal in the detailed Supersport rules, so I won't be using it at races.

Now, if only you could run a lead wire from the horn circuit to a micro switch on the shift pedal..
BTW, don't people get annoyed with all the honking?

Thanks Walter! You're the man! It's really simple, but if anyone wants to do it and has any questions let me know.
Dude. No joke, I was thinking about rigging it to honk the horn each time I made a shift. Lololol!!
Problem is, I think that I would end up getting more annoyed than people watching.![]()
This is so awesome, Ryan.
