I hear you, but in order for the City to annex that area would take a lot more than a few months. Yes, I realize that they could start the process tomorrow, but generally, these things don't get accepted until the fiscal year begins, which is October in the case of City of College Station.
Could it happen? Sure. As it is, the track has already held car races at night (including 24 hour races) in the recent past, so I would guess it's all good and the track will be able to get us lined out.

Saturday night I got a chance to race the Grom under some lights on a kart track at night. It was awesome and has me so much more excited for the idea of 24hrs. It's funny how your brake markers change at night based off what you can see.
