Totally agree with all of that.

Then why does ULWE have a 4 month break, since it's performing financially way much better than BBE? Why isn't ULWE given more races. more hrs, it's hot and growing. While BBE is dead around most of the country in other orgs, and is on the decline in our club. 26 hrs of BBE, and 38hrs of ULWE makes much more sense from a financial standpoint. The long term viability and financial health of the club would benefit from more ULWE time.
ULWE entries that started a race last yr, 200entries X$65hr X32 hrs= $416,000 revenue.
MSRH 46; MSR 44; HAL 33 ; MSR 40; TWS 37
BBE entries that started a race in '16, 99entries X$65hr X32hrs= $205,920...thankfully this isn't a for profit business, otherwise all Saturdays would be nothing but ULWE racing. ULWE is twice as profitable as BBE for the club.
TWS 24; NOLA 22; MSR 18; HAL 19; MSRH 16
Based on this data, ULWE should be given the best venues and dates for the club as a whole!

You beat me to it Ben...
If I were to make a change in the detailed schedule, I would have given more hours (perhaps swap one of the races?) to LWE vs. BBE.
I think it makes sense for LWE to be at our most expensive and best attended tracks most of the time, so clearly the Houston and NOLA events should be LWE, in my opinion.
My comments about the compromise were regarding the complaints about long drives and schedule. Given club demographics, it's not a bad schedule.

Playing devils advocate here... last season wasn't everyone trying to figure out how to increase interest in BBE? It's clearly fading away, and even though I don't ride BBE currently, I'd like to in the future and I'd hate to see it die. Maybe this schedule boosts BBE, time will tell.

.. i was agreeing partly with Ben's analysis on the numbers.. not about adding extra events... I guess I should have been more exacting in my response....
Though the drive lengths are a factor as I have said... it's also the impact of those events in a back to back scenario as we now have on a teams budget...
But no problem.. i obviously am a lone wolf here.. and like Robert said..it will be what it will be.. and I'll have to make my choices accordingly...
C'mon, Scott, surely you see the non sequitur in that logic. You're a better thinker than that. Please, step-back, put on your impartial-hat and try to think like a Director for a few minutes before continuing.
edit
But the whole point of Ben's numbers is to support an argument for more ULWE events.
