And as the CMRA, our reputation would precede us... many members there are aware of the typical mess left behind by CMRA events, and they don't want that. They have a nice little clubhouse with rocking chairs on the porch and leather sofas in the living room. How long do you think those would hold up during a typical CMRA weekend?
Really? The last 3 rounds, I've been one of the last people to leave and the paddocks are clean. I actually made a comment leaving the last round (Cresson) about how nice the paddocks looked after a race weekend. Do some people leave take offs, empty race fuel cans and trash? Yes. Does the CMRA get this stuff picked up before they leave? Absolutely.

I think the CMRA has a pretty good reputation with all the tracks.

Walter (or anyone else for that matter),

Curious to know what it would take to make the 3.1 at Cresson rideable. It has some neat features but clearly lacks some runoff in a few areas.

I'd be willing to sacrifice a weekend if it meant clearing out some of the runoff areas. This is certainly not a solution for this year but perhaps the future.

    Thanks!

Joe, have you ever walked the 1.3? The runoff there is scary! After I walked it, I wish I hadn't and was still able to race in my ignorant bliss of not knowing impending doom is so close.

H2R would be a disaster due to facilities and paddock size. The entire paddock is about the size of cressons skid pad. Think we need more than available. Maybe in the future

I don't think there's a good option that shines above everything else that will make everyone happy, which is a tough situation for the CMRA.

Hopefully we can find a track that works for everyone, and the schedule can continue as planned. However, if a track becomes available but it ends up being something that the majority of BBE teams can't make due to schedule, one idea I had was to make the 9th round something like we did a couple years ago with a non-points paying shootout round, and no endurance.

To keep the endurance championship for both series going, we could split the 6 hour at MSRH into two 3 or 4 hour events, one for each series. This would allow both series to have equal time, and a sacrifice from both series on time, so as to not favor one over the other. I know this would bring up the schedule and vacation days again for BBE teams that hadn't planned on going to Houston, but hopefully with it being a couple of months away, there would be time to plan and prepare.

This is an unfortunate turn of events for the club that was totally out of our control, and I hope we can find something that is accommodating.

I would agree this makes the most sense.

ECR it isn't any less bumpy than TWS was!

Just want to express an advance 'vote of confidence' for Walter and the BoD, whatever they manage to come up with in response to this less-than-timely disruption to the 2017 season.

It's been a long trail of uncertainty for years regarding TWS, and while I know Walter and the BoD have been seriously thinking about and discussing 'contingencies' for all that time, it's also been impossible for them to make a firm specific fall-back plan due to that same uncertainty.

I'm betting that even they will feel that the outcome is a 'best compromise', not the 'ideal' they'd have preferred if given more timely notice.

Unlikely that everyone can be made truly happy, but hopefully all members will accept that whatever the decision, Walter and the BoD we elected to deal with these difficult issues will have found the least compromising response given everything it's their responsibility to consider.

Thanks Walter and Directors for doing the hard and unenviable job.

Any chance we could do a 4 day weekend at MSRH? Thursday practice, Friday (big or little bike) endurance, Saturday (big or little bike) endurance and Sunday's sprints? Honestly, after traveling to Hallett, I'd be okay with nixing the TWS weekend all together. I think it would give a lot more people some breathing room to recover financially.

Take the money you were gonna spend on Tws and buy the Thursday at MSRH. Assuming that day is available and I would think it would be cheaper to buy one day than a whole weekend at TWS. maybe do select sprints both Friday and Saturday that would pay out with the money not being spent at world. Just a thought.
